Expos Frankenset Page 2

So that's what page one looks like

Now onto Page 2

1975 Topps

I think this one is probably the winner based on the design of the card..

1986 Topps Quaker Granola

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1991 Donruss

Card 11 is this Delino Diamond King. My other option is this:

1996 Pinnacle

I rather like the Diamond King in this case.

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

I really can't go along with the Kid here..

1993 Donruss

1991 Upper Deck

1995 Collector's Choice

I think the only challenger is the Barberie.

Card 13:

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

This was the only option I have for this card number. As I get more, I will revisit this selection.

Card 14:

1994 Stadium Club

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1989 Donruss

I think I like the choice I made here..

Card 15:

1979 Topps

15 is a rather popular card number here, it seems.. I have 5 other choices.

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1986 Jennings Southern League All Stars
For this set, I'm also considering minor league cards.
1991 Upper Deck
1992 Topps
1993 Topps

Card 16:

1992 Score

I'm not really a fan of this card, but the other options here aren't that great

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary
I'd swap this one in just for Al Oliver.

2002 Topps
1992 Upper Deck

Card 17:

1987 Donruss

This is the current selection, though I think I could be swayed with a couple of the other options

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1991 O Pee Chee Premier

1997 Topps
I think this is the other card I'd strongly consider.

Card 18:

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

2003 Upper Deck

This was the only other option for this card, really..

So my question to you is this:

Card 17..
The Diamond King, or the Santangelo?

Expos Frankenset Page 1

One thing I decided on while working on the Million Expos Project was that I'll also make a Frankenset binder. The rule is it's made of the duplicate cards. Any Company. Up to 792.
I'm including oddballs and pretty much anything except Update/Traded/Bonus Card designated cards

So.. First card is fairly easy

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

This is the only Expos player card I have that's numbered 1..

Number 2, though I run into some... Competition..

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1988 Donruss

Do I go with another Donruss 25th Anniversary Expo, or do I go with a nice Diamond King?
I'm leaning toward the Dawson, but I could be swayed..

The third spot, I think is fairly easy..

1982 Topps

This was my choice

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1991 O Pee Chee Premier

2004 Topps Total

1988 Score Glossy

Those were the other options for #3
Somehow, I think whenever possible, I'm going to go vintage unless the newer card has a good photo.

Card 4 is fairly easy as well

1983 Drake's Big Hitters

This was the choice

1996 Leaf

1991 O Pee Chee Premier

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

These were the other options for #4

Card 5 had one choice

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

Card 6

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

This is the current card, however, I'm not 100% sold on it..

Other options:

1995 Select Certified

1984 Drake's Big Hitters

I'm seriously leaning towards that Drake's Carter. Yes, that would be two Drake's in the first 9, but right now I have 5 Donruss 25th Anniversary Expos cards..

1994 Collector's Choice

Card 7 comes down to two choices: The Floyd which I decided on, or this one:

1982 Topps

Now, I said before I'd usually take the older cards, but I prefer the Floyd..

And onto Card 8

1991 Leaf

I actually changed it to this card as I was making this post..

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

1999 UD Choice

1991 Stadium Club
The original choice for the 8 spot was this card..

1993 Donruss Montreal Expos 25th Anniversary

This is the choice I made for card 9..

The other options:

1990 Upper Deck

1995 SP

1987 Topps

So I guess I'd just like to ask for some help with selections 2 and 6...

Would you keep the Dawson as #2, or would you go with the Diamond King?
For 6. would you keep the Raines fielding the infield, or would you go with Carter?

I think until my scanner gets figured out, I'll be doing posts like this for a while.. I hope these are interesting..

1973s to the Million

It's been a while, but I have an update!

I've been making some purchases through Facebook messenger from a baseball card group there. We've been talking for a bit and he's been finding Expos cards for me.. He'll get a batch together and I'll buy them. Last couple have been cards from the 70s..

Today is 1973 Topps..

Now... I'll warn you.. My scanner's acting rather possessed lately, so I took these with my phone.

5 Tim Foli get added

As do 9 Tom Walker

14 Mike Torrez. I actually needed this card for the binder as well, so that's a plus!

8 Terry Humphrey

9 Ron Fairly, including one for the Binder.
According to reports today, Mr Fairly passed away today. He was 81.. RIP.

4 Ron Hunt

A whopping 20 Hal Breeden cards..

6 Balor Moore cards, including one for the binder.

6 Ken Singleton cards including one for the binder. I already have one Singleton, but it's autographed.. I want a non-auto there as well..

3 Bill Stoneman cards, including one for the binder.

Apparently the middle one had someone's artistic touch to it..

So with these added into the spreadsheet, I now have 9449 Expos cards.
