1988 CMC Portland Beavers

 Today I'm talking about the Portland Beavers

In 1987, they went 45-96

Allan Anderson (not Andy) played for the Twins from 1986-1991.

Bobby Ralston didn't make the Major Leagues

Brad Bierley nver made the Majors.

1988 CMC Toledo Mud Hens

 Today is the Toledo Mud Hens.

In 1987, they went 70-70

In 1988, they were 58-84

So who was on this team of Tiger Mud Hens?

Benny Ruiz never made it out of the minors. 
He played from 1982-1989, spending all but 1989 with the Tigers organization. He finished with the Indians. 

Billy Bean played in the Majors for the Tigers (87-89), Dodgers (89), and Padres (93-95) 
Overall, he played for the Tigers (86-89), Dodgers (89-91), Angels (92), and Padres (93-95) organizations. He also spent part of 1992 in Japan.
Interestingly, he also seemed to be a teammate of Billy Beane in Toledo. 

Chris Hoiles played in the Majors for Baltimore from 1989-1998
He played for the Tigers from 1986-1988.
He was part of a trade to bring Fred Lynn to Detroit.  

Dave Beard played in the Majors for Oakland (80-83), Seattle (84), Chicago Cubs (85), and Detroit (89)
