Hello friends!
Today is the day after the World Series ended. It didn't quite go the way I wanted. It looked good until the 7th inning or so.
The Dodgers won the series. The Jays, taking the season to Game 7 of the World Series, had really what felt like a magical season.
The magic just ran short.. Nobody's really to blame. The Dodgers got a few mistake pitches late in the game and capitalized. Kind of what the Jays did all season.
I don't know if it's because I've been feeling in a low emotional/mental state as is, but aside from feeling like a nut shot, I'm actually kind of numb.. I don't know but I also feel like either a breakdown or just letting out a tidal wave of emotion might help, but I can't get myself to do either.
Postgame interviews with the players had all of them wanting to come back. I know people are hoping to see Bo back in Jays blue next season. I'd love to see Scherzer come back.

They are a great team.
ReplyDeleteI even told my wife in the 10th inning that I didn't care whether the Dodgers won or lost at that point. They had taken the season to the very last game of the very last series and even into extra time, what more I could I ask for? And if I was a Blue Jays fan I would feel the same way about them.
Thank you. I loved the season. I just hope they can find the magic and finish it next year..
DeleteOr, to pull a phrase from the old Brooklyn Dodgers: Wait Till Next Year!!!!
