1988 CMC Denver Zephyrs

The next set in the 1988 CMC series is the Denver Zephyrs. 
They were 72-69, third in the American Association West, behind the Omaha Royals and Iowa Cubs. 
The Zephyrs were an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. 

Who was on this team? 


Alex Madrid played from 1984-1990
He played in the Majors for Milwaukee in 1987, and Philadelphia in 1988-1989
Overall, he played in the Brewers (84-88) and Phillies (88-90) organizations. 


Billy Bates played from 1985-1992
He played in the Majors for Milwaukee in 1989-1990 and Cincinnati in 1990.

He neve made the Majors. 
He spent his entire career in the Brewers organization.


Darryl Hamilton played from 1986-2001
He played in the Majors for Milwaukee from 1988-1995, Texas in 1996, San Francisco from 1997-1998, Colorado from 1998-1999, and the Mets from 1999-2001
Overall, he played for the Brewers (86-95), Rangers (96), Giants (97-98), Rockies (98-99), Mets (99-01), and Rockies (01) organizations. 


Don August played from 1985-1995
He played in the Majors for Milwaukee from 1988-1991

  1. Lavel Freeman had a monster year in double-A in 1987. I remember reading an article about him in an old price guide(not Beckett) and wondered why he wasn't a big league star. Not sure what happened..
