eBay Pickups

 Hello friends! Today I want to show off a couple pickups I got from ebay.. 

Now, I probably should have done some more research into these things before I got them, but they were interesting to me, so I jumped. 

These were being sold by the same person, so I was able to get them both at once. This was listed as a "1938 Jeff Heath Panel" It's smaller than a baseball card. It almost feels like it was a newspaper clipping. 

Then there was this one. This was listed as a 1936 Baseball Panel. The back looked like it was glued to paper, but some had been removed. You could tell this was a newspaper clipping. I wonder if that was common in the earlier days of baseball when the more common ways of getting players might have been either through cigarette packs or through the newspaper and "Making your own cards" 

I'm sure someone with better research skills than I would be able to tackle that question. 

There is a Phil Marchildon signed panel that is pretty cheap. Actually cheaper than a cut auto that's going for sale.
