 Hello friends!

Now that the Holidays are over, I wanted to show some more cards from Diamond King. I also want to talk a bit about what I think my collecting goals will be this year. Or at least my focus.. 

So I'm thinking of lessening the Topps sets I have, or at least limiting what I look for. I'm more interested in getting the OPC versions of the 80s sets right now. When it comes to modern, the only sets I'm really looking to complete would be the Archives. Aside from that just Jays and Canadians. (and any Expos in Heritage/Ginter/etc)

I came to the conclusion that while collecting is like a buffet because of how much is out there, after a while the choices get so overwhelming that you end up sticking with your favourite things. Sure you may get a taste of something else, but trying to put everything on your plate leaves your plate overflowing and you overwhelmed. 

(It's the only way I could describe it.. I hate the fact it was a food analogy)

So we;re here for cards right?

This is an interesting card.. I like it. 

Isn't Stadium Club cool? As much as I'd love to get a run of all the sets of Stadium Club, I know it's not going to happen

Pacific in this era never really caught my attention. I guess there are some nice cards, but it's like most Bowman years... Tough to catalogue

Skybox was another weird and wacky entry.. For some reson, it sticks in my head as a Primarily NBA product that decided "Hey.. Let's get MLB!"

How I picture the pitch meeting for this design went..

I think this is one of those bobble head style cards Upper Deck made in the Kids Pack cards.. 

It took me a while to find this one. Until I looked and saw Denny's partnered with Pinnacle here..

Of course, with no or very few Denny's restaurants in Canada, the only way I'd get these is well after the fact in trades like this.. lol  

This one took me a while to find too.. To me there were too many identifiers, but I found it. 

So dear readers.. What are your collecting goals for this year? Do you agree with my analogy on the card collecting landscape? Did I make you want buffet? lol
