One thing I decided on while working on the Million Expos Project was that I'll also make a Frankenset binder. The rule is it's made of the duplicate cards. Any Company. Up to 792.
I'm including oddballs and pretty much anything except Update/Traded/Bonus Card designated cards
So.. First card is fairly easy

So I guess I'd just like to ask for some help with selections 2 and 6...
Would you keep the Dawson as #2, or would you go with the Diamond King?
For 6. would you keep the Raines fielding the infield, or would you go with Carter?
I think until my scanner gets figured out, I'll be doing posts like this for a while.. I hope these are interesting..
Nice idea for a set - I'd almost always go with a Diamond King (and would here) and Carter.

DeleteIf you're looking for variety on the page, I'd say that Tim would be the better option for card #2.
ReplyDeleteLove this project. I've thought about doing this with my A's collection. Obviously... I think you should go with what your heart desires. But since you asked for input, if it were me, I'd go with the Raines DK for #2 and the Drake's Carter for #6. If I decided to do this project, I'd probably make a rule where a card design could only be used once per 9-pocket page just to keep it varied (but that's just me).

DeleteIt's still early in the project for me, so I know some numbers wouldn't be represented well.. A lot of holes in the first 30 are being filled by the 25th Anniversary set. As I get more cards I can revisit and possibly change some cards again.
