COMC and Another Canadian Autograph

 Hello Friends!

Today is a bit of a Canadian double whammy. I received a COMC order I requested shipment in November (!!) and an eBay purchase.

All except two of the cards are Canadian Content. And the two that aren't... Are Stadiums!

Let's get the eBay purchase out of the way first, shall we?

Reggie Cleveland autographed card!
Now comes the groaner part. It's too bad Reggie never played for Cleveland.

Now, for the COMC cards

First is a card from the Keebler All Time Texas Rangers set of Arlington Stadium.. Now.. This is an interesting case, because the copy shown on TCDB has a checklist.. Above is what's on the back of the card I have..

Speaking of the old sweatbox.. Here we go.

Next is a Tuff Stuff Magazine card of Durham Athletic Park. There's a series of stadium cards put out by Tuff Stuff.. I wants them... I neeedssssss them....... Uhhhh... anyway...

I can't recall how I found out about Ken MacKenzie, but once I found he was Canadian, I had to look to see what I could find of his.
Milwaukee Braves..

Another one of him on the Braves

Right.... I remember how I found out about him.. When I was doing Immaculate Grid regularly.. I'd always go for the Canadians.. I was looking for a Canadian who played on the Mets.. He popped up.

Finally as a Giant..

Mike Kilkenny was someone I found out about through Cooperstowners in Canada blogger Kevin Glew. Obviously I had to seek out cards of him as well.

The 1971 card I got both the OPC and the Topps versions of, so I figured I'd show the OPC back..

And a card of him in Cleveland

A few more Reggie Cleveland cards including a Keebler card of him.
Why does he look like he's doing his best Jack Nicholson impression?

Finally, Dr Ron Taylor. Well, this is a Three Rookies and a not card.. Taylor had a rookie card in the 1962 set, so this isn't an official rookie for him. At least he went from sharing the card with 5 others to 3 others..

1970 Topps and OPC.. I derped and didn't bother to do the back thing for the OPC..

Finally, Sparky as a Montreal Royal.

I know some of the things I'd love to collect are way out of my price range. Example, I'd love to get an actual Robinson card from his Royals days. (if one exists. I can't recall) I'll be happy with the MiLB Heritage schlock instead.

But really, if I won the lottery, I think I'd move into a place where I'd have more room and, if it's away from the building I'm in, I'd hire a few people as caretakers. But grandiose dreams are just that.. Dreams.

Till Next time!
