After a small hiatus from this series, I'm back with it..
Today the Vancouver Canadians.
At the time, they were the Triple-A affiliate for the Chicago White Sox
The 1987 team went 72-72
The 88 team went 85-57
So who made this team up??
Adam Peterson made the majors for the White Sox from 1987-1990 and the Padres in 1991.
He spent from 1984-1990 with Chicago and 1991-1992 with San Diego.
Bill Lindsey spent part of 1987 in Chicago as his only Major League experience.
He played from 1981-1988 for the Yankees (81-86), and White Sox (87-88)
Carl Willis played for Detroit (84), Cincinnati (84-86), Chicago (88), and Minnesota (91-95) in the Majors
Overall, he spent time with Detroit (83-84), Cincinnati (84-87), Chicago (88), California (89), Cleveland (90), Minnesota (91-95) and California again in 95.
What's interesting is that he actually spent two seasons in Vancouver with two different teams.
Daryl Sconiers played from 1981-1985 in the Majors for California

I've heard of a few of these guys. Karkovice, Sconiers, and Gallagher the most.
ReplyDeleteI remember a few of these guys too. Never heard of Mike Yastrzemski... but it's a pretty cool card considering his dad is a hall of famer and his son was one of the best hitters on the Giants this season.
