I must say, I liked the Cannons uniforms shown here, though the hats remind me of the Cubs.
I agree... I remember seeing Calgary Cannons cards from different minor league sets when I was younger and thinking they were an affiliate of the Cubs.
ReplyDeleteNice Edgar!
It's the same as seeing old Denver Zephyrs cards and thinking they were a Detroit affiliate.. (they were Expos at the time) lol
DeleteEdgar! This is a great series, I'm enjoying these posts.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if anyone else made the obvious joke..but even with Christ on their side, the Cannons still had a losing record.
Thanks! I'm enjoying doing them.. As I mentioned, I enjoy going through old sets like this and seeing not only who made it, but who didn't..
DeleteI like the look of this set a lot. Always interesting to see players you know in minor league sets.
ReplyDeleteI agree.. I flipped through them when I got them saying "I know him.. I know him... "
DeleteI found out through 1988 Topps.. They also mention it on the back of his 1990 Donruss card.
ReplyDeleteI need to track down a copy of that Edgar. Very cool card.
ReplyDeleteThat Edgar card made me laugh. But not as hard as Monteleone pushing out a fart.
ReplyDeleteHe might want to lighten up. Might get wet.
