1988 CMC Indianapolis Indians

A while back I bought a set of team sets of CMC minor league cards in 1988.
I bought them from a person on Twitter. Today I'm going to show the Indiapolis Indians, since they are the Expos affiliate. 

In 1987, the Indianapolis Indians were 74-64, 4 games back of the Denver Zephyrs. 
Who was on that team?? 

Alonzo Powell was in the Expos system from 1986-1989.
He did spent 14 games with the Expos in 1987.
After that, he spent a year with Minnesota, Seattle, Japan, New York, and Toronto. 

Billy Moore played from 1983-1991 
His only MLB experience came in 1986, when he spent time with the big club. 
He spent part of 1989 with Baltimore, then Milwaukee and Texas farm clubs. 


Bob Sebra played from 1983-1993.
He played in the Majors for Montreal, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee. 
Overall he played in the systems of Texas, Montreal, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Houston, Cubs, and St Louis. 


Brian Holman played from 1983-1991 for the Expos and the Mariners. 
He spent part of 1988 and 1989 in Montreal, and the rest of his time in Seattle. 



The coaches for the Indians were 
Joe Kerrigan, Nelson Norman, and Mike Colbern.



Garrett Nago played from 1981-1989
He never made the Majors. 
He played in the Milwaukee, Montreal, and Houston systems.


Jack Daugherty played from 1983-1996. 
He played in the Majors for the Expos in 1987, and for the Rangers in 1989-1992, and for the Astros and Reds in 1993.
Overall, he played for Texas, Montreal, Texas, Houson, Cincinnati, Toronto, San Francisco, and Japan.  


Jeff Fischer played from 1985-1990 
He made the Majors for Montreal in 1987 and the Dodgers in 1989.
Overall, he played for Montreal and Los Angeles. 


Joe Sparks is the Manager for the team
He won three consecutive AA Championships while managing the Indians.
Overall, he managed from 1970-1994


Johnny Paredes played from 1982-1995
He played for Montreal in 1988 and 1990 and for Detroit in 1990 and 1991. 
Overall, he played for Philadelphia, Montreal, Detroit, Japan, and Mexico. 


Kurt Kepshire played from 1979-1989
He made the Majors for the Cardinals in parts of 1984-1986.
Overall, he played in the systems of the Reds, Cardinals, Expos, and Twins. 


Mel Houston played from 1985-1991.
He never played in the Majors, and played his entire career for the Expos Organization. 


Mike Berger played from 1982-1993
He never made the Majors. 
Overall, he played for the Pirates, Expos, and Rangers organizations. 


Mike Smith played from 1981-2000
He played in the Majors for the Reds in 1984-1986, the Expos in 1988, and the Pirates in 1989.
Overall, he played in the Reds, Expos, Pirates, Orioles, and Yankees organizations. 
Also, he spent a number of years in the Independent leagues. 


Nelson Santovenia played from 1982-1994
He played in the Majors for the Expos from 1987-1991, the White Sox in 1992,  and the Royals in 1993. 
Overall, he played for the Expos, White Sox, and Royals organizations. 

Otis Nixon played from 1979-1999
He played in the Majors in 1983 for the Yankees, 1984-1987 for the Indians, the Expos from 1988-1990, the Braves from 1991-1993, the Red Sox in 1994, Rangers in 1995, Blue Jays in 1996-1997, Dodgers in 1997, Twins in 1998, and Braves in 1999.
That is also the list of organizations he played for. 


Randy Johnson played from 1985-2009.
He made the Majors in 1988 with the Expos. 
1988-1989 with the Expos
1989-1998 with the Mariners
1998 with the Astros
1999-2004 with the Diamondbacks
2005-2006 with the Yankees
2007-2008 with the Diamondbacks
2009 with the Giants
He also is a member of the Hall of Fame


Razor Shines played from 1978-1993
He played in the Majors from 1983-1986 with the Expos
Overall, he played for the Expos, Pirates, and Reds Organizations. 


Rex Hudler played from 1978-1998.
He played in the Majors in 1984 and 1985 with the Yankees
1986 with the Orioles
1988-1990 with the Expos
1990-1992 with the Cardinals
1994-1996 with the Angels
1997-1998 with the Phillies
As well as these organizations, he's played in Japan and for Cleveland. 



Ron Shepherd played from 1979-1993. 
He played in the Majors for the Blue Jays from 1984-1986
Overall, he played for the Blue Jays, Expos, and Cardinals organizations. He also played in Mexico for years. 

Sergio Valdez played from 1983-1995
He played in the Majors for the Expos in 1986, the Braves in 1989 and 1990, the Indians in 1990 and 1991, the Expos in 1992-1993, the Red Sox in 1994, and Giants in 1995. 
These are also all the organizations he played for.. 


Steve Shirley played from 1974-1988 
He played in the Majors in 1982 with the Dodgers
He played for the Dodgers, Tigers, Pirates, Royals, and Expos organizations. 


Tim Barrett played from 1984-1989
He played in the Majors for the Expos in 1988
Overall, he played in the Expos and Dodgers organizations


Tim Hulett played from 1980-1995
He played in the Majors for the White Sox from 1983-1987, the Orioles from 1989-1994, and the Cardinals in 1995
He played in the White Sox, Orioles, Expos, Rangers, and Cardinals organizations. 

Wilfredo Tejada played from 1982-1994
He played in the Majors for the Expos in 1986 and 1988
Overall, he played in the Phillies, Expos, Giants, and Athletics organizations.
